STORY
When I was a kid growing up in South Georgia I had the opportunity to live next door to my neighbor, who was recognized as the "King of Barbeque Sauce." His sauce had the appropriate sweetness and hotness when applied to various meats and made the meat enjoyable to your palate.
When my wife, Myrtis (now deceased), and I started having cookouts we could never find the sauce like I enjoyed as a kid. So I said, "I think I can make the sauce for us like my neighbor did for so many years." So, during the 80’s I gave it the ‘old college try’ and used my sauce at our home cookouts and parties. For a span of 30 years, guests commented that "This sauce is good and different, where did you buy it?" And "This sauce has the right temperature and flavor, you don’t feel the ‘bite’ until later, which made eating the meat pleasurable." Then friends and guests would say: "You need to market this sauce, it’s a winner!" However, my reply was always that I do not have the time with a full time job but when I find some additional time in the day I would consider the idea.
Now, it is 50 years later. I am retired and have ample time on my hands and with the encouragement of my wife, Cherry, the sauce has become a reality. Even today when I share the sauce with people their reactions are favorable. So, here I am now keeping my promise to share my sauce with others, based on numerous feedback. My pleasure is seeing others enjoy the old fashioned and sassy flavor of AB & C sauce. It's all in the taste! Enjoy!
